Hey you.

Did you get a chance to check out our new homepage? — we updated the content and cleaned it up a bit.

Take a look and let me know what you think (just hit reply to this email) 😎

Also, have you heard of the Unchained Podcast by Laura Shin? 🤔

IMO — it's one of the best, fluff free podcasts covering the blockchain space.

Given that it's high quality, I'd appreciate it if you could Tweet Laura about featuring Loom Network on the show 🐦 — I've been (quietly) nudging her for almost a year without much luck.

Also, if you have any other high-quality, well thought out podcasts / blogs / youtube channels related to blockchain, please send them my way — especially if you think we should be featured.

Anyway...

Here's...

A sneak peek into the mind of Loom Network with Co-Founder James (📺 VIDEO | 47:01)

So, while this is an excellent video interview, you can listen to it like a podcast in the background while you work.

It's a great interview with our Co-Founder James Duffy, and Brad Laurie — plus, it covers a LOT of content about some of our latest updates, including:

  • Our approach to blockchain interoperability & benefits for developers
  • Upcoming PlasmaChain rebrand
  • How staking works
  • Projects that are building on Loom
  • Fee structures
  • ...and a LOT more

Plus, if you listen/watch the whole thing, you are bound to get some clues into a few things that we haven't officially announced yet 😜

Anyway, you should...

Last but not least...

1. Please welcome our latest validator: Infinity Stones (has nothing to do with Thanos) 🍾

2. Our CEO Matt will be speaking about Non-Fungible Tokens (NFT's) & Blockchain Gaming on June 26th in Manilla. If you are going to be in Manilla, please come say HI 📅

3. The total amount of LOOM staked has exceeded 212 MILLION, which is about ~30%. If you are interested in getting staking updates every 30 minutes, go ahead and follow @loomstaked (not affiliated with Loom Network) on Twitter. Also, if you are curious, feel free to review the economics of staking 💰

4. Loom's PlasmaChain recently hit 99,000+ transactions in a single day. That's ~10% of Ethereum's transaction volume on the same day 📈

5. Loom SDK now supports universal transaction signing with Portis 🔏

That's what's crackin' around here at Loom HQ 😉

Until next time...

P.SBy the way, if you haven't seen it already, someone made an incredibly entertaining cartoon about the history of Bitcoin called Bitcoin & Friends. Check it out. It's GREAT. — On the other hand, if you are looking for something a lot more geekier, Stanford just had an excellent day of talks about Securing Our Cyber Future from Digital Threats (with a focus on Election Security). They just released videos of the entire event. Take a look. Considering that there will be another election next year in the U.S and ZERO politicians have proposed any solutions to election security, I think these talks are quite important. — Also, if you are a fan of retro gaming, take a look at the new GPi Gameboy Case by RetroFlag. That's going to be my weekend project 😉
