Bullish Global announced plans to go public through a $9B SPAC merger. The transaction between Bullish Global and Far Peak Acquisition Corp. is expected to close by the end of this year. More: Bullish was previously managed by Block.one and is set to offer a digital asset exchange by the end of the year. Far Peak is a SPAC backed by former NYSE President Tom Farley. He will serve as CEO of Bullish after the business combination. Bullish’s SPAC announcement comes less than 24 hours after USDC’s Circle announced a $4.5B SPAC merger with Concord Acquisition Corp.

The EU proposed plans to establish a uniform framework for an anti-money laundering (AML) agency. The AML agency will track fiat and crypto transactions throughout the EU. More: A Reuters document demonstrated that addressing digital assets is a top priority of the framework. The proposed agency is part of a broader plan for tracking illegitimate transactions under EU AML Package 2021. The Financial Action Task Force (FATF) will work with the AML agency to monitor Virtual Asset Service Providers (VASPs).
