NYDIG partnered with NCR Corporation to enable bitcoin purchases at 650 U.S. banks and credit unions. NCR will allow NYDIG to provide services to over 24 million customers. More: NYDIG will receive a per-user per-month fee from the bank in return for its services. Investments made by NCR bank clients will be backed by off-line, cold-wallet stored assets to support their purchase. The second phase of the partnership provides that NCR will take custody of its own assets.

HSBC became the first foreign entity to join UAE’s KYC blockchain platform. HSBC joined Emirates NBD, Commercial Bank of Dubai, Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank, and others on the platform. More: The KYC platform is a year-old state-sponsored initiative to create a national ecosystem for verified KYC data sharing. Dubai Economy additionally announced a partnership with Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) Authority to expand the project. HSBC’s inclusion on the blockchain is despite its negative view on cryptocurrencies and crypto-exposed stocks like MicroStrategy.

Katy Perry announced an NFT partnership with Theta Labs. The artist will release a line of NFTs ahead of her upcoming “Play” residency in Las Vegas.
