 Week 51

Sapling upgrade activated smoothly, providing a huge tech boost to more than 40 blockchains in the Komodo ecosystem

Also, all KMD funds must be moved out of z-addresses by Feb 15, 2019. If you're on a mobile app, Ledger or Agama lite then you don't have a Z address. About 0.1% of addresses are z-addresses. If you're using Agama in native mode then it's worth checking and remember to always back up your wallet.dat file before updating.

It's almost the end of 2018, and this year we have witnessed a number of 51% attacks (double spending) on Proof of Work (PoW) based blockchains. As a result we've seen a big uptake in discussions around dPoW so we asked Satinder Grewal to explain Komodo's delayed Proof of Work (dPoW). Read his in-depth guide here: https://blog.komodoplatform.com/delayed-proof-of-work-explained-9a74250dbb86.

The company's incubator houses 36 startups with teams ranging from 5 to 50 employees. 3. The crypto community largely still resents litecoin founder Charlie Lee for his decision to sell his cryptocurrency at the height of its price. It has been about a year since Lee sold his stake in litecoin, which has since lost about 90 percent of its value. He said at the time it was to prevent a "conflict of interest." "People lose money and they want someone to blame," Lee said in an interview Tuesday. "And they think for some reason I had inside information, and that's silly. At the time when I sold, everyone thought it would go to $1,000." –BLOOMBERG

4. The price of Bitcoin Cash ABC has nearly tripled in the past week. While the recovery from about $80 per coin to more than $225 is impressive, some in the industry are not convinced it is more than a dead cat bounce. After all, even with the latest jump in price Bitcoin Cash ABC is down more than 95 percent for the year. –CRYPTOVEST
