Important Notice Regarding Recent Email Appearing to Come from the City of Lynnwood

The City of Lynnwood recently detected unauthorized use of a third-party application that resulted in phishing emails being sent to external recipients. The email included City of Lynnwood branding, like the City logo, which may have made it seem genuine. The City did not approve the email.

If you receive this email, please don't click any links, open attachments, or give out personal information in response.

If you have already clicked a link or entered information, we recommend changing any affected passwords and monitoring your accounts for unusual activity.

The City immediately secured the affected account and collaborated with the vendor to prevent further unauthorized activity. Currently, there is no evidence that City systems were compromised or that City data was accessed as a result of this incident.

We apologize for any confusion or inconvenience this incident may have caused and appreciate your understanding.
