Dogecoin (DOGE) surged 44%, reaching a new ATH of $0.606 and a market cap of $70B. Much Wow. More: The latest spike above $0.50 comes ahead of Elon Musk's (aka The Dogefather) appearance on SNL. Binance Coin (BNB) became the third cryptocurrency to reach a market cap of $100B. BNB joined the ranks of BTC and ETH following a weekly rally of 20% and a new ATH of $680 yesterday. More: BNB has gained 1,750% in 2021, skyrocketing +$643 in only four months. Almost $10M worth of short BNB positions were liquidated in the past 24 hours. Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao cautioned new crypto traders not to buy BNB just because of the price and spend “more than three full days” learning about BNB.

🍋 FRESH FUNDING 🍋 Multicoin Capital, Crypto Fund: $100M. Multicoin Capital’s Venture Fund II is set to invest in DeFi, NFTs, Web3 applications, and crypto infrastructure projects. More: Multicoin is particularly interested in the future of the Metaverse, calling the virtual world projects a “massive” opportunity. The investment firm is looking to fund DeFi projects being developed within the Solana ecosystem. Multicoin further announced that Matt Shapiro, Mable Jiang, and John Robert Reed would become the firm’s latest partners. Kirobo, DeFi/Infrastructure: $5M.
