Tangem is a new smart card technology that allows users to store and carry cryptocurrencies on physical plastic cards with a chip and NFC antenna inside. It was developed based on technology from Samsung and Arm (SoftBank), with the security and correctness audited by the Kudelski Group, a listed Swiss security company. IOHK's Haskell Course in Ethiopia

IOHK recently finished teaching a Haskell programming course in Ethiopia, Africa. The program was taught by Lars Brünjes, director of education, Polina Vinogradova, formal methods expert and Philip Wadler, senior research fellow of IOHK. This course was in conjunction with the memorandum of understanding (MOU) which IOHK signed with the Ethiopian government last May to train and hire junior software developers. Lars and Polina have both written a blog post of their experiences and insight from teaching the course.
