Hive, which saw its value increasing by 500 percent over the last seven days, has dropped in value overnight by over 30 percent. However, it's still up by over 300 percent from the past week. SenseTime signs agreement with China's Digital Currency Research Institute. The artificial intelligence (AI) startup said that the agreement with the research unit, which is overseeing the development of the nation's state-backed digital currency, is aimed at boosting innovation and the introduction of AI in China's technology sector. While details of the deal remain unknown, a separate report suggests that the main goal is to provide "risk control and operational capabilities" across China's financial institutions. Payment processor Checkout.com joins the Libra Association. The addition of Checkout.com brings the total number of Libra members to 24. It's also the first payment processor to join the association following the departure of Visa, Mastercard, and Stripe last October. In a blog post, Checkout.com founder and CEO Guillaume Pousaz said that the company had found a group of peers with the Libra Association who have developed a meaningful approach to how the blockchain can be leveraged for the greater good.
