 Last weekend almost 100 people attended the Blockworks Hackfest, developing some brilliant commercial applications for Blockchain.

On Thursday, we're hosting five 90 minute workshops at ASB Waterfront theatre with Aaron McDonald and his team from the Centrality ecosystem including PL^G, SingleSource and Sylo, Savannah Peterson's Beginners Guide, Michael Williams from Microsoft, Michal Proper from ClearFoundation plus Natasha Blycha from Law firm Herbert Smith Freehills and IBM's Paul Hutchison close out with the Chicken and Egg debate. On Friday, the main conference starts at 8.45am with the Chairman of the New Zealand Blockchain Association, Mark Pascall and includes two panel discussions on Digital Identity and Smart Cities. 
 
The Smart Cities panel will begin around 2.45pm with Andy Higgs from Centrality, Boyd Cohen from the Smart Cities Alliance, Marianne Archibald - CE Whanganui Chamber of Commerce, Matt Montgomery, Head of Innovation at Auckland Council and Viv Beck Chief Executive at Heart of the City.
 
Digital Identity sits at the heart of many Blockchain platforms and applications so this panel at 4.45pm is sure to fire up some debate. The Panel features SingleSource CEO Kelvin Chandran, Datacom Head of Digital Identity Tim Ransom, EY Law Digital Law Lead Frith Tweedie and Sphere Identity CEO Katherine Noall. 
 
Our MC Savannah Peterson has arrived from San Francisco and recently published her story Seven Reasons You're Not Too Late to the Blockchain Party.
