More: - The Russian-owned publication RBC claims that Rosfinmonitoring's system can "partially remove anonymity from participants" engaging in cryptocurrency transactions.
- Rosfinmonitoring's system claims support for five cryptocurrencies: bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Omni (OMNI), Dash (DASH), and Monero (XMR).
- Monero claims to be a private, "untraceable" cryptocurrency when stored in certain private wallets.
- The publication claims Transparent Blockchain uses AI and is already targeting bitcoin transactions involving drugs.

What is F2? - Facebook Financial will manage all Facebook projects related to payments: Facebook Pay, the company's upcoming cross-app payment feature; Novi (f.k.a. Calibra), a Libra cryptocurrency wallet; and international WhatsApp payments, especially in countries like India and Brazil

The Irish Cabinet has passed the Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing Amendment Bill 2020. Once signed into law, Ireland will apply stringent regulations to virtual currency projects and entities supporting cryptocurrency wallets. Why it matters: - Ireland is a tax haven. Many cryptocurrency projects have domiciled in Ireland to take advantage of its low taxes and advantageous financial regulations.
- The bill will harmonize Ireland's laws with the 5th EU Money Laundering Directive.
- The law will make transactions with "high-risk" countries more difficult, limit anonymous pre-paid cards, expand Customer Due Diligence (CDD) requirements, and bring virtual currency providers and wallet providers under the 5th EU Money Laundering Directive.

MicroStrategy (NASDAQ:MSTR) has purchased $250m worth of bitcoin. The $1.3b business intelligence company generated $475m in revenue over the past 12 months. According to the CEO: - CEO Michael Saylor claims that bitcoin provides a "reasonable hedge against inflation," is a "dependable store of value," and has "more long-term appreciation potential than holding cash."
