  • Elastos Foundation Statement Regarding DPoS Multi-Sig Supernode Registration

Based on both the feedback from our developer teams, as well as the growing candidate turnout for the DPoS election, The Elastos Foundation will not be integrating multisig functionality for DPoS registration at this juncture. It is imperative that our developer teams prioritize their focus and efforts on other upcoming checkpoints on our progress roadmap. We are confident that the 65+ supernode candidates that have already chosen to partake in the election process will lay a secure foundation to run our consensus mechanism, and we strongly encourage those previously waiting on the sidelines for a wallet upgrade to pursue alternative collaboration methods in order to enter the election.

Elastos was in attendance at the University of California, Irvine (UCI), for the University's Information and Computer Science Week on May 14 through 16. In addition to sponsoring the event and running a booth, Elastos held a workshop in association with the Blockchain Acceleration Foundation (BAF) and the Blockchain at UCI Club, where the the three organizations brought together students to discuss the applications and security mechanisms of blockchain technology, the value of data in the digital age, and how to get involved with Cyber Republic via its proposal process. The BAF, which is already accruing a significant following at Universities across California, is one of the budding communities in Cyber Republic's recently launched CR Regions Initiative, and is actively looking to collaborate with blockchain companies that are seeking developers.

Rong Chen spoke on a panel at the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization headquarters in Paris, France. The conference, "Blockchain: practices and perspectives," (https://en.unesco.org/blockchain-practices-and-perspectives) was a high level academic conference focusing on the merits of blockchain technology in the context of real world applications that could benefit the development plans within the United Nations. Attendees and panelists represented experts in various fields including academia, technology and government from around the globe.

UNESCO will release an official video of the event and the link will be made available to our community at that time.
