Andreessen Horowitz launched a $2.2B crypto investment fund for blockchain-focused startups. The investment firm’s ‘Crypto Fund III’ will be the largest ever crypto fund. More: Former SEC official Bill Hinman will join the fund’s team alongside co-leaders Chris Dixon and Katie Huan.  Andreessen Horowitz is best known for its 16z venture fund, which has led early-stage investments in companies like Coinbase, Airbnb, Slack, and Facebook. The investment firm currently has a stake in 33 crypto projects, including Uniswap, Maker, Compound, Solana, and Anchorage.

WENEW, an NFT project co-founded by Beeple and Pitchfork, launched today. WENEW is an Ethereum-based NFT marketplace for iconic moments in culture. More: The ERC-721 NFT “moments” are similar to those from NBA Topshot. The first selection of moments on WENEW will include a collection of NFTs representing Andy Murrary’s 2013 Wimbledon victory. Beeple famously sold an NFT at Christie’s auction house for $69.34M in March.
