COIN BULLETIN

You guys really love your Tether

I got a few emails asking why I didn't cover the whole thing with Tether temporarily losing its peg to the dollar.
  1. Tether isn't particularly interesting
  2. I think stablecoins are stupid
  3. I don't hold any Tether
  4. I recommend you don't hold any Tether
  5. Tether is back to the peg rate of $1
I'm not super interested in events that have already happened.

I'm more interested in covering events that could help me anticipate what could happen months from now.

If Tether does collapse, what do you think will happen to the demand of bitcoin?

If you're not sure, imagine you had 10,000 USDT in your exchange account and you just heard Tether is insolvent.

Would you:

a) Keep your Tether
b) Sell your Tether for bitcoin

So what did happen?

Here's a summary from my main man Arjun.

Pay close attention to (4) and (5).

Proof of work is definitely not perfect, but I wouldn't go so far as to say its wasteful.
