Dear Waves community, We are inviting you to an open discussion on the Future of Digital Transformation, in which Waves and Vostok founder and CEO Alexander Ivanov, and Wikipedia founder Jimmy Wales, will participate. The event will take place on 12 July, 7:00 pm at the Strelka Institute.
The Future of Digital Transformation discussion is a part of the Binary District x Strelka joint summer program, which is focused on educational events dedicated to digital technologies and innovations, with world business leaders, scientists, public and political figures as speakers.
Internet entrepreneur and technological visionary Jimmy Wales is the mind behind the wiki concept. Mr. Wales has been listed as one of Time magazine's 100 Most Influential People and one of Forbes' The Web Celeb 25 members. Besides being the founder of Wikipedia, Wales started the Wikimedia Foundation and WikiTribune.
Alexander Ivanov is a blockchain technology visionary and the founder and CEO of the Waves and Vostok blockchain projects. Waves, the open blockchain platform, was launched after crowdfunding 30,000 BTC ($16 million), and has become one of the leading blockchain platforms. Mr. Ivanov recently launched a new project: the permissioned blockchain platform Vostok, which is specially tailored to the needs of government and big business.
