1. A "critical" bug was discovered and repaired in the code for bitcoin cash. Developer Corey Fields recently wrote in a blog post how he anonymously reported the consensus bug, known as SIGHASH_BUG in April. The error is known as a "chain-splitting" bug that would have allowed a specially crafted transaction to split bitcoin cash into two incompatible chains. -BITCOINIST

2. There is a 0.4 percent chance that bitcoin will become worthless, two economists at Yale University believe. The report adds that there is a 0.6 percent chance Ripple will loss all its value, and 0.3 percent for ethereum. The authors studied price data for the cryptocurrencies from 2011 to 2018, or from when they were created. Comparatively, the researchers said there is a 0.003 percent chance the United States dollar would one day lose all of its value. -CNBC

3. A 15-year-old hacked John McAfee's BitFi crypto wallet, which has been promoted as "unhackable." The teenager played the video game Doom on the wallet. It does not appear that the hacker was able to gain access to the cryptocurrencies held on the device, but it still does not bode well for the device which some have described as little more than a modified Android. –DIGITAL TRENDS

4. The price of ethereum classic has dropped more than 30 percent since becoming listed on Coinbase. The coin was added on Tuesday and quickly jumped to $21.25 per coin. As has become the pattern, new coins on Coinbase retreat after an initial boom when joining Coinbase. Ethereum classic is now trading at about $15 per coin. -COINDESK

5. Everipedia, a decentralized encyclopedia, will move its operation from ethereum to EOS. The site wants to rival Wikipedia by offering a censorship-free database of information. Its developers claim that Wikipedia suffers from too many regulations that make it only attractive to a relatively small portion of writers. The site's leadership claimed that building on ethereum is "infeasibly difficult," at least until the network solves its scalability issues. –THE NEXT WEB

6. The World Bank has called on the Commonwealth Bank of Australia to create the first blockchain bond. The product has been named bond-i, an acronym standing for Blockchain Offered New Debt Instrument. According to the institution, the bond will be the first in the world to be created, allocated, transferred and managed with blockchain technology. -CNBC

7. Check out CryptoMonsters. It's the latest crypto-based game and the first to run on the litecoin blockchain. –ETHEREUM WORLD NEWS
