1. There is a growing theory that Coinbase was behind the large shift in bitcoins last week. There was talk last week that a bitcoin whale split 856,000 bitcoins between 107 different wallets. The online community speculated on why the gigantic sum was moved. Different theories ranged from a whale moving funds to Over-the-Counter markets to the Foundation for Economic Education sending payments. Another theory has gained traction and it is far less intriguing: Coinbase could have been doing simply wallet maintenance. –BITCOIN MAGAZINE

2. Bitcoin Confidential is about to become reality. The coin, which was first announced six months ago, will take a snapshot of the SmartCash blockchain on December 15 at 07:00 UTC. Users will be given 10 Bitcoin Confidential tokens for each SMART token in their account. Bitcoin Confidential is attempting to be a totally anonymous coin. It requires that all transactions be shielded and private, but also be fully fungible unlike Dash or ZCash. –NEWS BTC

3. More and more bitcoin miners are heading to Iran. As the price of bitcoin continues to drop, miners continue to look for cheap sources of power. Iran features an extremely low-cost of electricity that is making the difficulty of setting up business in the country worth it. The electricity cost in Iran has always been relatively low, the recent significant devaluation of the Iranian rial has made the opportunity even more appealing. –COINDESK

4. The Vermont state government has created a working group to determine what opportunities exist with blockchain.
