The Kin Ecosystem topples another major milestone as over 2 million users have used Kin within consumer apps in the last month, growing rapidly since breaking the 1 million mark since just last November. Kin is now live in over 50 consumer apps, with over 2.5MM monthly active spenders!
Today, the Kin Rewards Engine turns one year old, celebrating its first anniversary as a fundamentally new way to monetize apps! In commemoration, we take a moment to reflect on where it started and the progress that's been made so far.
The Kin Community has taken an important step towards remaining competitive in a landscape where people are meant to be able to work together to achieve more than they ever could alone. Ten community members have united to contribute to the Kin Ecosystem and community on a regular basis as the Kin Community Council.

KRE: Valid Spend Guidelines 2.0
After the Kin Community identified KRE flaws and exploits, they worked together to try and find a solution. One contributor in particular, known in the community as "asparagusm", went above and beyond by doing a comprehensive rewrite of the KRE guidelines, not only providing solutions to the issues, but also tightening and iterating on existing guidelines. This proposal was further discussed and improved by the community, and ultimately adopted by the Kin Foundation. Valid Spend Guidelines 2.0
