The application outlines a method where blockchain could be used to store information about a physical object and provide updates as it moves onward from its point of origin. 4. Overstock CEO Patrick Byrne said blockchain might be the world’s greatest hope to end global poverty. Byrne recently launched a new venture, DeSoto, Inc., that plans to build solution to empower individuals through property ownership. 5. The three implementations of the Lightning Network – c-lightning, lightning network daemon, and Éclair - officially entered beta on Monday. Belfort said in a recent interview that bitcoin’s price struggles in 2018 signal the beginning of the end of the top-ranked cryptocurrency.
