Yo! Here's a human blow drying a cockatoo... No. It has absolutely nothing to do with this week's updates. But... I figured you'd enjoy it 😉 By now, you should know that this is how Dilanka gets the party started. Anyway, I want to tell ya that... 1) Loom Network is Coming to London on August 4th! 🌍 As you know, we first covered Tokyo in our world Loom SDK Hackathon tour. Next up is Beijing & Shanghai from July 6-8. ...and now, we are stopping by London to hang out with more DApp developers. If you are in the area, you should definitely come to the London Hackathon. 👉 Read more about the London hackathon announcement. Speaking of hackathons.... 2) We will also be in Oslo, Norway on August 24th to Run Europe's First Blockchain Game Hackathon! 🌍 That's correct. We will be visiting the Nordic land where non-coffee drinkers are condemned while talented blockchain developers are praised! This is where the Lord of the Rings SHOULD have been filmed... Anyway—We are very proud to organize Europe's first Loom Hackathon in Oslo. If you haven't already... 👉 Read all about the upcoming Loom SDK Hackathon in Oslo, Norway. ...oh, and a bunch of you have been asking... 3) Kickstarter Update: 95% Funded (+Thinking about a Contest) We're all on the edge of our seats as we approach 100%. So, if you've been procrastinating, you should totally back the project 😉 Also, I am thinking about running a contest where you can earn virtual game cards in Zombie Battleground. (What is Zombie Battleground?) Essentially, all you'd need to do is share the Zombie Battleground Kickstarter on social media. Each share counts as one entry and there's no limit on how much you can share. The more you share, the higher the probability of winning. Also, instead of doing one or two big prizes, I want to do like 50+ prizes, so you'd have a good chance of winning. What do you think? 🤔 Are you interested in a contest like that? If so, hit reply and let me know 😉 Also... 4) ConsenSys Interviewed Loom Co-Founder James Duffy (~30 mins) (I can't help it—but in the above screenshot, James looks like Kramer from this old Seinfeld Episode 😂) Anyway... I forgot to mention. ConsenSys did an excellent interview that covered: - DAppChain mechanics
- Delegated Proof of Stake (DPoS)
- How Decentralization will play out
- ...and more.
So, if you haven't seen the interview yet, check out. Finally, if you have any questions related to Ethereum, blockchain development, Loom Network, Zombie Battlegrounds, etc. — please post those questions on DelegateCall and our team will answer them there. That's all for now. See you next week! Your friend, —Dilanka "...Outside of a dog, a book is a man's best friend. Inside of a dog, it's too dark to read..." —Groucho Marx |
