1. Some long dormant bitcoin wallets moved more than $1 billion in bitcoin in less than a day. The transactions came from five of the 36 largest known cryptocurrency wallets and each showed millions of dollars being moved at a time. Even more strange, the wallets had largely lain dormant – some as much as four years. While there is no confirm explanation, the larger wallets had divided the funds into smaller sub-wallets. That alleviated fears of a large sell off, but the owners perhaps rearranging their stash to be more secure or accessible in the future. –CRYTO NEWS REVIEW

2. In other whale news, large-scale ethereum holders have grown their holdings even more this year. Despite ethereum's substantial price drop this year, ethereum whales nearly doubled the number of ethereum coins they own. A new report suggests that this growth has come as investors have grown weary of ICO tokens and would rather put money into the relative safety of ether. –SMARTEREUM

3. Litecoin continues to fall down the cryptocurrency rankings. Tether recently surpassed litecoin in market capitalization, knocking the coin to eighth in size. Litecoin, which was once the third largest coin, now trails bitcoin, XRP, ethereum, stellar, bitcoin cash, EOS, and tether. It now has a market cap of just more than $1.8 billion. –AMB CRYPTO

4. 130 of Asia's wealthiest and most influential people gathered in Singapore to learn about blockchain. The event was not aimed at crypto and blockchain enthusiasts, but rich individuals that want to learn the finer points of blockchain for possible investments. As Forbes describes, the event featured a range of people from teenagers looking to catch on to the next wave of innovation to grandparents that are more cautious with their investments. –FORBES
