Celo has launched its Mainnet, delivering the transfer of its Celo Gold (cGLD) tokens, which are enabled via on-chain governance. This means that exchanges can integrate with the platform. The team wrote that such a step "solidifies" the value of the network. The launch of its Mainnet follows after the platform raised $10 million in a Dutch auction on CoinList last week. Selling the tokens at $1 each, the auction sold out in 12 hours and saw bids from 132 countries. CLABS/MEDIUM

Bitcoin investor and research analyst Tuur Demeester doesn't think Bitcoin reaching $50,000 is "insane." In a YouTube video posted on crypto research firm Messari’s channel, Demeester said that Bitcoin was "back in a bull market" following a drop in crypto prices in March. In his opinion, Bitcoin has the potential to reach $50,000 and could even go as high as $100,000. He believes that it will be institutions that will push the coin's price up, with many rushing to buy the asset in what he described as a "land grab phase." MESSARI/YOUTUBE
