Staking Has Arrived 🚂 on The Stellar Blockchain
Hooray! The Stellar Board of Directors has committed to launching the much debated Staking Marathon - a time-limited reward plan for individual users. A manual process has been added to the Ledger in such a way as to distribute Lumens directly to Community members' accounts.
Forum members & admins approached the Stellar Foundation with a policy aimed at conserving and extending the XLM ecosphere, while simultaneously giving holders new earning opportunities. Although Lumens were reserved initially for other purposes, we are now able to release them towards the Staking Marathon Promotion.
The fund, totalling 5.98 billion XLM, has been secured by the Stellar Development Foundation inflation accounts and is guaranteed by the Stellar Foundation.
Bear in mind, only the first 10 000 approved accounts will be able to participate in this first enrollment group. Future groups will have lower potential ROI (for example 15%, instead of the 25% that the first group shall receive).
