Elastos Weekly Updates — 23 November 2018


This week Elastos went live with its new website, including updated branding, an updated roadmap, a new video, and more. Have you been to the new site and watched "The Modern Internet" video? Check out the links below.
 
  1. Implemented the new service-based application management of the Elastos Browser Android version (based on the installation and deletion of the Launcher interface);
  2. Elastos Browser iOS version development;
  3. Completed Elastos Storage Cluster infrastructure, prepared the IPFS interface test solution, and wrote the IPFS interface test plan;
  4. Started the development of the Storage Client agent and the Client C API;
  5. Studied and evaluated performance issues caused by slicing Elastos Storage IPFS files;
  6. Opened the Elastos Carrier crawler warehouse to the community;
  7. Carrier's File Transfer API is merged into the trunk, and the demo app is added to provide basic peer-to-peer file transfer functions (including breakpoint resume);
  8. Opened the Windows Build of the Carrier, updated the relevant documentation of the Native SDK, and opened the Desktop/Server Java SDK;
  9. The DPoS anomaly discussion discusses the integration, integration into the main chain and completion of the integration of basic normal processes;
  10. The Ethereum sidechain test environment was set up and demonstrated the basic main side chain transfer process, and the anomaly response plan for the arbitrator with the main chain synchronization was determined;
  11. The web wallet adds the relevant interface of the DPoS voting function to prepare for the voting function;
  12. Completed the Neo VM sidechain test case and completed the test script writing;
  13. Java util now supports Neo VM sidechain;
  14. The mobile wallet replaces the scanning plug-in to fix some security auditing problems and is undergoing pressure testing;
  15. Investigated the intranet penetration plan;

  • In order to raise the security and stability of the Elastos consensus mechanism and to avoid excess concentration of the hash rate, The Elastos Foundation would like to allow our global community to participate in the construction of the Elastos ecosystem and to broadcast the vision, mission and value of Elastos.   • On November 15th, Elastos co-hosted a Compliance Meetup in San Francisco with legal experts in the blockchain industry. The event brought together representatives from the academic space, blockchain projects, and cryptocurrency exchanges with an audience that consisted of lawyers, startup entrepreneurs, journalists, and local enthusiasts of both blockchain and Elastos, including Bitmain COO, Phillip Liu . The event, which ran nearly three hours, encompassed a networking session, an opening speech, and two moderated expert panels with accompanied Q and A's from the audience. November 17-18
Elastos developers' technical interactive meetings were held in both Shenzhen and Guangzhou. These events were intended for programmers, product managers, designers and other technical personnel. The meetings gave an introduction to the Elastos technology and provided opportunities to interact with the application scenario; carrying out activities around sessions like, "Vision for the Elastos DID digital Identity application," "Demo of NEO virtual programming on Elastos," "Elastos Carrier and TV Box applications in the smart home;" as well as hosting on-site coding, using demos, and other great event segments. The events were very exciting, and at the Guangzhou event, 20 whole subjects were covered in under an hour.
 
November 19
Elastos co-founder, Feng Han participated in the MIT–Chief lecture, sharing "Blockchain-Powered Smartweb will rebuild the internet and protect user data privacy, allowing your digital assets to become your wealth."
 
November 22

Elastos System Director, Jingyu Niu participated in the 2018 Beijing University of Science and Engineering Blockchain Seminar,  jointly launched by BC Spark Developers Community in conjunction with ChainDD and Beijing University of Science and Engineering Graduate Student Association. He shared "DApps and Blockchain," shared knowledge about blockchain for students and developers, opening the door for greater understanding of blockchain theories and current industry practices.
