1. Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss said they remain committed to creating a bitcoin ETF in a wide-ranging Reddit AMA about cryptocurrency. The brothers, who lead the Gemini Exchange, weighed in on a number of topics. They said bitcoin would remain the top cryptocurrency for the foreseeable future because of network effects and its ability to serve as a store of value. In the long run, the twins said they believe bitcoin and cryptocurrency could surpass the market capitalization of gold. –MARKET WATCH

2. Japan's Financial Services Agency has denied a Bloomberg report that it has considered the approval of a bitcoin ETF. Coin Telegraph reports that FSA said it has not explored an ETF based on crypto assets and did not know who the person familiar with the matter cited by Bloomberg is. Bloomberg earlier reported that the FSA was looking into ETFs and that – if accepted in Japan – could potentially help pave the way for a bitcoin ETF in the United States. –COIN TELEGRAPH

3. The Russian government plans to purchase billions of dollars worth of bitcoin in the coming months, according to economist Vladislav Ginko. A lecturer at Moscow's Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration, Ginko believes the Russian government will purchase the coins to combat economic sanctions from the United States. Ginko said the purchases could come during stages, but sees a scenario where the government could purchase $10 billion worth of the coin starting next month. –ETHEREUM WORLD NEWS

4. Litecoin creator Charlie Lee sparked a conversation about decentralization on Twitter in response to the 51 percent attack on ethereum classic. Lee said that only coins that are truly decentralized can be subject to that kind of takeover, making it an evil necessity. "If a crypto can't be 51% attacked, it is permissioned and centralized," Lee said. He added that investors should be aware of this and avoid coins that are not dominant in their respective mining algorithm. –CRYPTO NEWS REVIEW
