1. Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg said he is "potentially interested" in harnessing blockchain technology at the social media giant. In an interview with Harvard Law professor Jonathan Zittrain, Zuckerberg said the blockchain could give Facebook users unique powers when granting data access to third-party apps (insert joke here). Zuckerberg admitted in the interview that he is unsure how this would work, but wants to explore blockchain for potential uses. It makes sense considering Facebook has invested the past year in blockchain with speculation the platform may create its own cryptocurrency. –THE VERGE

2. QuadrigaCX has emptied its hot storage wallets and sent the funds to its court-appointed monitor, Ernst & Young. The embattled exchange, which has more than $130 million in cryptocurrency stored in inaccessible cold wallets, sent 52 bitcoin and 960 ether to EY, which confirmed it received the coins and is storing them in its own cold wallet. EY will hold the coins until it receives further orders from a Canadian court. The move comes a few days after QuadrigaCX officials revealed that they accidentally sent more than 100 bitcoins to one of the company's inaccessible wallets by mistake. –GLOBAL NEWS
