- Inside Crypto’s Fresh Funding reported on 48 funding events totaling $2.53B in funding.
- FTX raised the largest funding round in October at $420.69M, making it also one of the largest crypto funding rounds to date.

🍋Fresh Funding🍋 Solidus Labs, Market Surveillance: $15M ⮕ The strategic funding round was led by Liberty City Ventures and participated in by GSR and Exor Seeds. More: - Solidus is a market surveillance and risk monitoring firm that offers analytic tools for traditional financial institutions.
- The fresh funding comes after Solidus raised $20M in a Series A funding round back in May.
- In July, the startup hired former Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) Director Kathy Kraninger as the VP of regulatory affairs.
Stackswap, DeFi/DEX: $1.3M ⮕ The private funding round was led by Stacks Foundation and participated in by HashKey, Genesis Block Ventures, and SOSV. More: - Stackswap is a decentralized exchange (DEX) developed for the Bitcoin (BTC) network.
- The project developed a Proof of Transfer (PoX) consensus mechanism to become the first DEX to run on top of the Bitcoin network by combining the Bitcoin network and Stacks.
- Stackswap is set to feature standard DeFi features, including permissionless swaps and liquidity mining, among others.
- The Stacks Protocol was the first token sale to be approved by the U.S. SEC.

Publicly traded Argo Blockchain’s regulatory filing revealed inadvertent insider information disclosure. The filing was a mandatory disclosure for discussing non-public information with equity portfolio manager Anthony Coyle yesterday. More: - Argo released that it projects that the construction of its Texas mining facility will cost between $1.5B to $2B.
- Short-seller Boatman Capital previously released a report claiming Argo purchased the land for its mining facility in Texas for more than 100 times over its value.
- Argo representatives told Coyle that it had a 500% ROI on its Equihash machines from June 2020. However, the filing called this stat a “particularly favorable example” of how ROI can vary greatly.
- Reps additionally stated that Argo could make 20% of its revenue from cryptos other than Bitcoin (BTC), but Argo claimed that this was a “directional insight” and not an intended forecast.

DeFi protocol bZx was exploited in a hack for over $55M. Polygon (MATIC) and Binance Smart Chain (BSC) smart contracts were affected by the attack. More: - bZx is a multi-chain decentralized finance project that previously suffered two flash loan attacks back in Feb. 2020.
- The development team has asked users to revoke any permissions given to the two affected contracts.
- Ethereum (ETH) based smart contracts were not affected due to the platform’s multi-party DAO governed contract protocol.
- The source of the attack and the attacker’s keys are currently unknown. However, a post-mortem release is expected in the upcoming days.

Luizão Goulart (REPUBLIC-PR) proposed the bill, calling money the greatest creation in the history of humanity.
