The SEC delayed its decision on four bitcoin ETF applications from Global X, Krypton, Valkyrie and WisdomTree. This is the second extension on bitcoin ETF proposals for all four companies. More: Final decisions, or additional extensions, are now set to take place between Nov. 21 and Dec. 24. The SEC reasoned that the approval or disapproval of a proposed rule change is necessary for the applications to be fully considered. In addition to the mentioned applications, VanEck’s proposal was also delayed previously. A decision from the SEC is expected by Nov. 14.

U.S. regulators are considering a regulatory framework for stablecoins. The reportedly proposed regulations would treat stablecoin issuers as banks. More: The Biden administration is expected to propose new legislation to Congress for a special-purpose banking charter for issuers. Regulatory recommendations will likely be included in the Treasury Department’s upcoming “President’s Working Group on Financial Markets” report. A representative from USDC issuer Circle remained optimistic about the news, stating that a clear regulatory framework will help create a more efficient, fair and inclusive financial system.

More: Frank Holmes, HIVE’s interim executive chairman, said the jump in net income was due, in part, to its expansion of ETH mining. HIVE’s gross revenue reached $37.2M, up 466% from Q3 2021. In August, the mining company ordered 1,800 Antminer S19j Pro miners toward its goal to increase mining production.

Publicly traded Greenidge Generation Holdings reportedly mined 729 BTC in Q3. The company additionally disclosed that it is holding around $52M in BTC. More: Greenidge is a Nasdaq-listed bitcoin mining firm with over 15,000 miners operating at 1.2 EH/s.
