A book portraying the lives of Tyler and Cameron Winklevoss is set to become a movie. The book, "Bitcoin Billionaires," was written by New York Times bestselling author Ben Mezrich and tells the story of how the twins became the first Bitcoin billionaires in 2017. Now, the co-founders of crypto exchange and custodian Gemini are teaming up with film producer Greg Silverman’s Stampede Ventures, along with Jon Berg, to co-produce a film adaption of "Bitcoin Billionaires". The book is the second by Mezrich to focus on the Winklevoss twins. His first, "The Accidental Billionaires", narrated the legal battle the brothers had with Mark Zuckerberg and Facebook, which was later adapted into the film "The Social Network." More: - In May, Samsung teamed up with the Gemini exchange to expand its crypto push. The partnership also saw the Gemini app integrating with Samsung's blockchain wallet.
- Last month, it was reported that Gemini was expanding into Europe as the platform added four new trading pairs: Orchid Protocol, DAI, Chainlink, and BAT, alongside of Bitcoin, Ethereum, Bitcoin Cash, Litecoin, and Zcash.

Asset tokenization startup Upvest has raised $1.01 million to develop a prediction tool for Ethereum gas fees. For every Ethereum transaction, gas is consumed. This is a unit, which measures the computational effort required to undertake certain transactions. According to Upvest, estimating Ethereum gas fees comes with risks and isn't cost-efficient as transactions can end up being overfunded and underfunded. Using machine learning technology, Upvest has developed an estimation engine, which collects "real-time" network signals and data to estimate gas fees. Upvest states that initial results show that cost efficiency is increased by 18%. THE BLOCK | |
