The "Stoner Cats" NFT release sold out in 40 minutes. The NFTs represent characters in an animated series created by Mila Kunis that will also feature the voices of Chris Rock, Ashton Kutcher, Seth McFarlane, and Vitalik Buterin. More: - The initial release of 10,420 tokens was launched on the Stoner Cats website for 0.35 ETH each.
- For now, only the holders of the NFTs can watch the show. The tokens will also give holders exclusive access to other features and perks.
- Dapper Labs, the creators of CryptoKitties, assisted the show's creators with the technical aspects surrounding the NFT release.
- They plan to release 1,000 new Stoner Cats NFTs for every new primary character introduced in subsequent episodes.
- The creators expect that the next four to five episodes of content will introduce a total of three new characters, meaning there will be 3,000 new Stoner Cats NFTs released over the course of the first season for a total of 13,420 NFTs.
Stoner Cat's roadmap: - The project's road map centers around the percentage of NFTs sold, but it is unknown how many NFTs will be minted over the entire lifespan of the project.
- By cross-referencing the road map published on the project's website, it appears that 75% of the total number of NFTs will be minted at the culmination of season 1.
- At that point, in addition to accessing the show's content, token holders will receive access to potential giveaways, NFT movie posters, the ability to vote on merch designs, and behind-the-scenes access.
- Most likely following season 1 once 80%-100% of the show's NFTs are minted, token holders will begin to receive the ability to vote on story elements.
