Canadian Markets The TSX was up on Monday as the tech sector continues to rally globally. - Telecommunications company Globalive Capital announced plans to re-enter the wireless market on Monday, saying that Canada needs an independent carrier to increase competition in the market.
- Globalive has offered to purchase the spectrum licenses held by Xplore Mobile, which shut down in August 2022.
- Globalive previously operated Wind mobile, a low-cost carrier that it sold to Shaw Communications in 2015 for C$1.6B (US$1.16B).
