Market Maker 2: The Engine That Powers AtomicDEX

Komodo Newsletter
October 11, 2019

UPDATES  &  DEVELOPMENTS

-- This week, Artem Pikulin and Artem Grinblat, the two Komodo engineers who developed the AtomicDEX networking layer, published an extremely informative blog post about AtomicDEX's lower-level architecture. Market Maker 2, as it's called, is the technology that allows individuals around the world to connect and make trustless atomic swaps in a secure and reliable way. Read the full blog post here.

-- Komodo Chief Technology Officer Kadan Stadelmann sat down with BLOCKTV for an excellent interview about AtomicDEX and how far ahead Komodo is in the DEX technology race. In the video, Kadan discusses Komodo's legacy as a leader in DEX technology, how AtomicDEX is the industry's most advanced decentralized trading solution, and how this groundbreaking technology has the potential to reshape the blockchain industry. Watch Kadan's video interview with BLOCKTV here.

-- Komodo Chief Strategy Officer Steve Lee had a call with David Weiss from Altcoin Magazine to discuss marketing in the blockchain industry. In the interview, Steve provides some fantastic insights into how the blockchain industry has evolved over the last few years, where the industry stands today, and how blockchain marketing teams can improve in the future. Read Steve's full interview with Altcoin Magazine here.

-- Komodo Marketing Manager Audo Kowitz spoke at a blockchain event in Helsinki, Finland on October 8. The event, organized by Konsensus, a Finnish cryptocurrency organization, was partially sponsored by the Komodo Pioneers. Audo discussed atomic swaps, explained why they are so important, and presented AtomicDEX to the audience. Check out this tweet to see a few photos from the event.

-- It was also announced this week that Audo will be speaking at Cryptour Ukraine, a touring blockchain conference, on December 5th in Kiev. The event is being organized by OKEx. See this tweet to learn more about Cryptour Ukraine.

A WORD FROM THE C-SUITE

"The decentralized exchange called AtomicDEX is basically our third generation DEX technology. We started developing this tech back in 2014 when our Lead Dev and founder basically issued and executed the first fully-automated, cross-chain atomic swaps. So what AtomicDEX does is, it basically provides the base layer for a DEX network that is platform-independent, protocol-independent, so we provide blockchain interoperability and inter-exchange between protocols, such as Ethereum, ERC tokens, and also all Bitcoin-protocol-based cryptocurrencies."   -- Komodo CTO Kadan Stadelmann

Watch Kadan's video interview with BLOCKTV here.

"I would say you would have to understand what the value of the technology is. You have to understand what competitively is out there and what legacy technologies that it could replace. If you get that baseline understanding and understand how far along the technology is, I think that’s another key point that a lot of people miss in this industry. It’s like, 'OK, you can talk about your vision, but how close are you to actually executing on it?'"   -- Komodo CSO Steve Lee
