But now, the land has been the subject of local intrigue since a company with no history, Blockchains L.L.C., bought it for $170 million in cash this year. The man who owns the company, a lawyer and cryptocurrency millionaire named Jeffrey Berns, has hired a staff of over 70 to create a sort of experimental community spread over about a hundred square miles, where houses, schools, and commercial districts will be built and powered by the blockchain. "This will either be the biggest thing ever, or the most spectacular crash and burn in the history of mankind," Mr. Berns said. "I don't know which one. Ok... but what's the catch? Well, in order to get your FREE XLM, users must go through a KYC (know your customer) process, essentially giving up their private information. π This is something that the shills on Twitter forget to mention. If you're comfortable with this though, go get your feet wet and HODL ~100 XLM before the deal expires. Need a refresher on what Stellar is and does?
