Seoul's Getting Smarter Thanks to ICON

'Smart city' is something of a buzz word these days, with many cities around the world modernizing at a rapid rate. In South Korea, this is nothing new — they began planning Songdo, 'the world's first smart city', in the 2000's. While Songdo is not yet all it was promised to be, Korea has learned a lot about what obstacles must be overcome when building a smart city, and is now looking to bring other Korean cities in line with the 4iR.

Significantly for Iconists, ICON is launching a large-scale blockchain project in cooperation with the World Smart Sustainable Cities Organization (WeGO). In their first big project, they'll be integrating loopchain with Seoul's smart city program to set a global standard that could be applied to other cities around the world. Read more about it here:
