Research shows that the number of blockchain investment deals has declined for seven consecutive months. According to data from The Block, in May there were only 44 blockchain-related investment deals. This is compared to the 104 recorded in May 2019. In July 2019, the number of deals peaked at 121; however, since November, the number has fallen significantly and has continued to drop. The Block's John Dantoni said that investors may be making more "concentrated bets" instead of putting money into risky investments.
Data from Glassnode reveals that 60% of Bitcoin hasn't moved in over a year. Figures from the market intelligence company indicate that this is illustrating "increased investor holding behavior." Glassnode went on to point out that the last time this happened was before the 2017 crypto bull run, which eventually saw Bitcoin hitting around $20,000 a coin. Last month, Coin Metrics pointed out that retail investors were taking advantage of the market dip, with the number of addresses holding small amounts of Bitcoin increasing since March 12. @GLASSNODE/TWITTER
