The U.K. government wants to regulate Bitcoin ads to remove promotions that are "misleading." Under the proposal, the U.K.'s financial regulator, the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), will oversee the promotion of crypto assets for the first time. The proposal is open to public consultation until October 26. Stani Kulechov, CEO and founder of Aave, a London-based crypto loans company, said this was "the right way to go" to getting rid of scammers. This fundraising method enables investors to claim a refund if a project fails to meet or deliver milestones. The Orion Protocol guarantees up to 80% refunds to customers who hold its native ORN token. The refund process begins in month nine and will continue through to month 16; however, if investors believe that the project has performed well in the first nine months they won't claim a refund, said Hassan Sheikh, CMO and COO at DAO Maker, the blockchain consulting agency who conducted the DYCO.
