Komodo's Development Update

The Komodo core development team is steadily building and improving our products each day. We have recently made great progress in the development of AtomicDEX as well as a few upgrades to Antara Framework.

AtomicDEX Development

Last month, the AtomicDEX development team released two new AtomicDEX Mobile versions: v0.2.17 and v0.2.18. A major AtomicDEX Pro version was also released, which includes many new features, enhancements, and bug fixes.

AtomicDEX Mobile

The new AtomicDEX Mobile versions introduce a few most requested features:

  • Candlestick charts
  • Currency toggle: FIAT/ BTC / KMD (tap on portfolio value)
  • Fiat currency config

Furthermore, there were a few enhancements for the DEX core and batch requests for FIAT values. The ZEC configuration was also updated.

Later this year, AtomicDEX Mobile will receive a complete facelift.

You can read the full changelog on
Komodo's community portal.

AtomicDEX Pro (Desktop)

After thorough research of the current industry best practices, we translated them into features and designed a user interface that should satisfy both occasional users and true enthusiasts.

AtomicDEX Pro version 0.2.0 introduces a completely new and modern look. But these improvements go well beyond a facelift! With the latest version, there are also many new features, enhancements, and bug fixes.

Here are the most significant changes:

  • Trading view UI/UX updated and improved
  • Candlestick chart
  • CEX rate comparison
  • Currency toggle
  • Privacy button

Read the full changelog on Komodo's community portal.

Additionally, the AtomicDEX API is constantly being improved for internal tests in preparation for a public stress test later this year.

Antara Framework & Other Developments

Even though the focus is currently on AtomicDEX, enhancements to other areas of Komodo's product line are also being carried out here and there.

For instance, the Gateways & Oracles CC's have been improved and nSPV is now an optional feature. The Komodo dev team is currently working on a hardware web wallet, and the new dPoW client dubbed 'Zeno' is nearing a wider test stage in the Notary Node network.

Komodo's Marketing Update

For the marketing team, AtomicDEX was the main focus of the previous month and will continue to be for the upcoming months. The marketing team worked on several UX/UI mockups, which were then finalized and implemented in AtomicDEX by the development team. The new design received a lot of positive feedback from the community.

Binance Chinese Community Trading Competition

Along with the Binance Chinese community, the Komodo marketing team launched a trading competition on Binance with a prize pool of $2,500. The total trading volume of KMD increased by 67% during this competition!

Komodo Team Members Joined an AMA

On July 27, the Komodo team participated in an AMA with a cryptocurrency-focused AMA Telegram Group. The AMA was requested and funded by community members! A big thank you to community member CrabbyPaddy for organizing and funding it.

In case you missed it, you can
read the recap of the AMA here.

Komodo Internship Opportunity

To build a stronger community, Marketing Manager Audo Kowitz started the Komodo Internship Program. The internship will mainly focus on community building.

We received tons of interest; over a dozen people contacted us. We were amazed by the willingness of our community to help. In total, we now have seven eager interns ready to help out and build a stronger Komodo community.

It is no longer possible to apply for the current internship position. However, we always welcome contributions, and we will do our best to empower everyone. If you want to help us out and get more involved, please join our Discord community.

Komodo's Business Development Update

AtomicDEX Partnership Program

The business development team worked on establishing processes for onboarding new partners in preparation for the launch of AtomicDEX 1.0. This included working on a plan detailing every aspect needed for a healthy and strong partnership. Once this plan is complete, we can streamline the process for projects wanting to get listed on AtomicDEX as well as anyone that wants to build on AtomicDEX.

We will provide further details once the plan is finalized.

QTUM x AtomicDEX

The Komodo business development team has reached out to Qtum to explore ways of further collaboration and has decided to integrate full QRC20 support after initially listing QTUM in the AtomicDEX Mobile wallet. AtomicDEX developers are currently integrating full QRC20 protocol compatibility. This will enable QRC Standard Tokens and the general blockchain ecosystem to build cross-chain and cross-protocol DeFi solutions with AtomicDEX.

Exchange Listing

The business development team is currently in talks with an exchange that is interested in listing KMD. A new exchange listing opens a new market for KMD and brings additional liquidity. We will keep you informed as soon as the listing is finalized.

We hope that you enjoyed this month's newsletter! If you have any feedback, feel free to reach out to us on
Discord!
