GPU by Nvidia Nvidia (NASDAQ:NVDA) refuses to share some corporate records related to the late-2017 cryptocurrency boom. Nvidia once marketed its GPU as one of the leading brands of bitcoin mining hardware. After disappointing earnings and missed guidance, the company is still nursing its "crypto hangover." - Counsel to U.S.-based graphics card maker Nvidia have declined to hand over the company's internal documents related to potential misstatements regarding its financial benefit from the late-2017 and early-2018 cryptocurrency boom.
- Nvidia's counsel argued in front of the Vice-Chancellor of the U.S. Chancery Court in Delaware on Sept. 17 that the plaintiffs (a group of investors) have failed to provide credible basis for their demands.
- In the lawsuit, a group of investors accuse Nvidia of misleading them about how much of the company's revenue relied on cryptocurrency miners during the 2017 bull run. They also claim that Nvidia made false statements about the company's earnings potential.
