Larva Labs reportedly signed a CryptoPunks licensing deal with United Talent Agency (UTA). The licensing deal is the first intellectual property deal to involve property entirely originated on a blockchain. More: - Under the deal, CryptoPunks may be represented by UTA in movies, television, video games, and other forms of media.
- The terms of the deal may also give UTA licensing rights in other Larva Labs projects, including Meebits and Autoglpths.
- CryptoPunks are currently the largest NFT project by trading volume on OpenSea, with a total volume of 94.5K ETH (~$320M) in the past 90 days.

PleasrDAO announced the fractionalization and sale of an NFT of the Dogecoin (DOGE) mascot. PleasrDAO previously purchased the NFT for $4M and will fractionalize it into 16,969,696,969 tokens. More: - Fractionalized ownership will be made available on SushiSwap as $DOG.
- Tokens will be made available as ERC-20 tokens on the Ethereum Network.

Axie Infinity (AXS) reported $364M in protocol revenue in August, up from $196M in July. Despite impressive growth in July, the total month-to-month revenue growth was still above 85%. - AXS, Axie Infinity’s native token, also experienced immense growth in August. AXS is currently up 88% over the past month and trading at around $70.

NFT collector Pransky was returned 100 ETH (~$338K) from a scammer promoting a fake Banksy NFT on Banksy’s official website. Banksy’s authenticators confirmed that the “Great Redistribution of the Climate Change Disaster” was not an authentic Banksy. More: - After being sent a link to the OpenSea auction and Banksy’s website on Discord, Pranksy quickly bid 100 ETH on the NFT.
- Immediately following the bid, the auction was closed, and the link was removed from Banksy’s official website.
- Banksy has not released any NFTs to date. However, an NFT of a partially destroyed Banksy titled “Morons” was sold on OpenSea for $382,000.

Cryptocurrency pyramid scheme Finiko is reported to have netted $1.5B worth of bitcoin since Dec. 2019. The metrics from Chainalysis show Finiko is allegedly one of the largest crypto-related scams to date. More: - The majority of the scams targeted Russia and Ukraine, which were especially vulnerable to crypto scams due to their devaluing currency and lack of investment opportunities.
- Finiko’s founder, Kirill Doronin, was recently arrested but is set to be released by the end of September.
- Even with the arrest of its founder, Finiko was still active and promoting a project called OmFin as of July 21.
