 OpenSea has resumed the listing of Polygon-based copies of CryptoPunks following PolygonPunks’ DCMA counter-notice. PolygonPunks were delisted on OpenSea back in August following a takedown notice from CryptoPunks creator Larva Labs. More: - Larva Labs obtained a DMCA takedown notice from OpenSea after claiming that PolygonPunks infringed on CryptoPunks' intellectual property rights.
- PolygonPunks countered the notice, stating that their NFTs were removed or disabled by mistake.
- Following the relisting, Larva Labs must obtain a court order to get PolygonPunks delisted again on OpenSea.

Mayor Jayson Stewart announced plans to give $1,000 in BTC to every household in Cool Valley, Missouri. The plan was initially to airdrop $500 to every household, but fundraising for the initiative exceeded expectations. More: - Cool Valley is a small Missouri town in St. Louis County with a population of just over 1,000 residents.
- According to 2020 U.S. census data, around 76% of residents identify as Black or African American, and 20% identify as White.
- Stewart hopes the initiative will help residents learn more about cryptocurrency and attract bitcoin events, mining facilities, and other business opportunities to the town.

 "The Sims" video game designer Will Wright announced an upcoming release of a new NFT-based game. Wright’s upcoming game, "Proxi," will be his first in over a decade. More: - Proxi lets players create a diorama of memories using in-game items, generating a unique character avatar that allows players to interact with other players.
- Users can create their own memory NFTs as well as sell or trade them with others.
- Wright said the game is expected to be released this fall.

The CFTC fined Kraken $1.25M for offering crypto futures in the U.S. Kraken’s fine was the largest paid by a crypto exchange in the United States to date. More: - The CFTC stated that Kraken did not obtain a license to be a futures commission merchant and illegally offered margin trading in violation of the Commodity Exchange Act.
- Kraken allegedly violated the act between June 2020 and July 2021 when it served as the sole margin provider and maintained custody over assets purchased using margin.
- The crypto exchange has yet to comment on the decision by the CFTC.

 Dapper Labs announced a partnership with the NFL and the NFL Players Association (NFLPA). The upcoming NFT project is still unnamed but expected to launch ahead of Super Bowl LVI. More: - The partnership marks the fourth sports-based NFT project from Dapper Labs following NBA Top Shot (NBA, WNBA) and UFC.
- Similar to NBA Top Shot, the NFL NFTs will be made available on Dapper Labs’ Flow blockchain and feature video highlights.
- Dapper Labs Head of Partnerships, Caty Tedman, stated that the content approach would be “very different” from NBA Top Shot, focusing instead on the week-to-week schedule.

NFT SPOTLIGHT: "The Masque" by Osinachi 
Osinachi is a cryptoartist from Nigeria who produces drawings and illustrations using Microsoft Word. His works explore personal experiences within a technical environment and feature many unique color palettes influenced by African textiles. Osinachi recently collaborated with Nigerian record producer and Kanye West collaborator Don Jazzy on an NFT collection dropping today. The collection features Osinachi's signature work and Don Jazzy's music, serving as a tribute to Afrobeats.
