Filecoin (FIL) announced that it would become the official NFT storage provider of Dapper Labs’ Flow (FLOW) blockchain. Tether agreed to pay $41M to the CFTC for “untrue or misleading statements” about USDT. The CFTC stated that Tether at least misrepresented its reserve for USDT between June 2016 and Feb. 2019. More: - The CFTC additionally settled charges with iFinex Inc., BFXNA Inc., and BFXWW Inc. for their connection to Bitfinex’s violation of the CEA.

The SEC is expected to allow U.S. bitcoin (BTC) futures ETF trading next week. The statement from an unnamed source came as bitcoin reclaimed $60,000 for the first time since April. More: - The SEC has continuously denied BTC ETFs since the Winklevoss twins filed the first BTC ETF application back in 2013.
- Unlike previous BTC ETFs, futures contract ETFs are filed under mutual fund rules and were viewed more positively by SEC Chairman Gary Gensler.

Crypto mining firm Stronghold Digital filed with the SEC for a $100M IPO on the Nasdaq. According to the filing, SDIG will IPO at around $16 to $18 per share. More: - Stronghold currently operates around 3,000 crypto miners and has entered agreements to purchase another 26,150 more over the next year.
- The funds from the IPO would be used to purchase around 55,800 additional miners, giving Stronghold a total of 84,950 mining rigs.
- Stronghold described its Scrubgrass, Penn. mining facility as an “environmentally-beneficial coal refuse power station.”
