Pantera Capital raised $600M for its fourth blockchain and crypto investment fund. 75% of the capital raised for the fund came from institutional investors. More: Pantera has notably gained the attention of endowment funds and has LPs, including Yale and Harvard University. The majority of Pantera's $2.5B in assets under management (AUM) reportedly comes from institutional investors. The shift of institutional investors entering crypto and web3 has been consistent over the past few years.  Pantera previously raised a $175M fund back in 2018, with the majority of funds coming from crypto-native investors. Institutional inflows into crypto exceeded $150M in the past week alone. The information was provided in a recent report published by CoinShares. More: Bitcoin (BTC) investments made up 90% of institutional investments this week due to the availability of BTC ETFs in the U.S. Cardano (ADA) saw $2.1M in outflows this week, a first for the cryptocurrency in recent months. Solana (SOL) was the third-most-popular cryptocurrency this week, with $8.5M in weekly investment inflow. ProShares was the largest institutional investor with $107.7M invested, followed by 21Shares ($17.1M) and 3iQ ($4.3M).

Bitcoin (BTC) payments and rewards app Fold partnered with Pokémon Go’s Niantic. Niantic is set to develop an AR bitcoin treasure hunt experience on Fold. More: Fold users will be able to search and collect BTC in the same way Pokémon Go players would hunt for Pokémon. A waitlist for the beta has already been launched, with some users already receiving early access. Fold hopes that its latest partnership with Niantic will help users understand and adopt crypto in a familiar and fun way. The International Monetary fund (IMF) stated that bitcoin (BTC) should not be legal tender in El Salvador. The official statement from the IMF comes after several warnings about adopting BTC. More: The IMF believes that the risks of bitcoin significantly outweigh El Salvador's efforts to improve financial inclusion. Specific risks stated by the IMF included: high volatility, a lack of regulatory oversight, the potential for money laundering, and consumer protection issues.  President Nayib Bukele acknowledged the IMF statement via Twitter, calling its analysis of El Salvador "interesting" and directly disagreeing with their opinion.
