 An EOS proposal to halt future payments to Block.one and Brock Pierce passed governance. The newly enacted proposal will prevent the issuance of 67M EOS ($250M) to the company and co-founder over the next six years. More: - Despite Block.one being the creator of the EOS blockchain, the majority of the community approved of the vote because they believe they are no longer acting in EOS’s best interest.
- In November, EOS Foundation CEO Yves La Rose called out Block.one for misrepresenting the blockchain and said they could no longer rely on Block.one’s guidance.
- EOS community members have been increasingly upset with Block.one following its plans to develop Bullish and Voice on EOS but later abandoning the blockchain for others.
The EOS IP Dispute: - The EOS Foundation is looking to regain control over the EOS IP from Block.one; however, Block.one is also no longer in control of it.
- Block.one placed the EOS IP on the balance sheet of crypto exchange Bullish, which is set to go public following a $9B SPAC deal.
- Block.one has not publicly committed to retrieving the IP from Bullish but instead offered to provide 30M in EOS tokens to the EOS Foundation.
- The 30M EOS payment was not taken well, and the community-led proposal was launched shortly after.

 OpenSea CFO Brian Roberts stated that the NFT marketplace has no immediate plans for an IPO. Roberts had previously told Bloomberg on Monday that OpenSea was considering going public. - OpenSea community members took poorly to the Bloomberg news, complaining of OpenSea turning their focus away from the community and using a traditional fundraising model.

 SushiSwap CTO Joseph Delong tweeted his resignation from the company effective immediately. The resignation comes among significant infighting throughout Sushi’s core team. More: - On Monday, Delong threatened to quit due to concerns that the core team lacked sufficient compensation and autonomy.
- Delong proposed a one-time payout of 200,000 SUSHI (~$964,000) to each core team developer, totaling $18.3M. In the first 24 hours, 71% of participants voted against the proposal.
- Following the denial of the proposal, Delong decided to leave immediately rather than waiting to complete Sushi DEX Trident like he initially stated.
Infighting at Sushi: - Developer Mudit Gupta stated that he would leave the core team due to Delong’s leadership, leaving a position open that took 4 1/2 months to fill.
- A non-core developer at Sushi tweeted that Delong had kicked out SushiSwap co-founder 0xMaki and other “good devs” left due to Delong’s management.
- 0xMaki had taken over the role of lead developer from Chef Nomi after Nomi returned $14M in ETH that he had taken from the DEX.
- Former SushiSwap Asia lead AG was fired at the end of last month for leaking screenshots of insiders fighting and information related to the firing of 0xMaki.
