Mark Zuckerberg has confirmed Meta's plans to bring NFTs to Instagram. During the panel on Tuesday at SXSW, Zuck wasn't quite ready to dive into much detail but said the NFT integration would be "hopefully" in the coming months. More: - Part of the integration will allow Instagram users to mint NFTs directly within the app.
- Facebook and Instagram users will also be able to display NFTs on their profiles.
- The company's metaverse confirmed that it will support NFTs.

A pitch deck obtained by various publications from Bored Ape Yacht Club parent Yuga Labs is projecting net revenue of $455M this year, largely through virtual land sales. These virtual land sales represent the first phase of a metaverse initiative that aims to diversify revenue away from BAYC NFTs. More: - Yuga is looking to build a gaming-focused metaverse named MetaRPG that will be compatible with a variety of NFTs.
- There will be an in-game app store that allows players to create metaverse characters derived from NFTs they already own or from scratch.
- They can outfit them with NFTs and then use them in-game.
- MetaRPG's in-game economy will supposedly include a new native token called APECoin.
- 200,000 plots of virtual land NFTs will be distributed across two sales in March and August this year.
- From this, Yuga expects to make $178M not including secondary sale proceeds.

2020 presidential candidate and 2021 New York City mayoral candidate Andrew Yang wants to use decentralized autonomous organizations to bolster American democracy. Yang's DAO, called Lobby3 DAO, gives citizens an opportunity to influence the American political process. More: - Lobby3 DAO directs money toward issues that are important to its members.
- At this time, most of the issues revolve around crypto's role in Washington.
- Yang believes that Lobby3 DAO can act similarly to a third party that provides a voice to the 90% of Americans that live in firmly Republican or Democratic districts whose representatives have "safe seats" and little interest to listen to voices outside their party.

Galaxy Interactive, Republic Crypto, and Sam Bankman Fried's Alameda Research are partnering to create a Web3 gaming investment consortium called NG+. The consortium aims to build out a Y Combinator-like program to funnel Web3 gaming startups. The three firms will all co-invest in each project for a combined share of 10%. Each firm will have a specific role: - Galaxy will focus on sourcing game studios to bring into the program.
- Republic will advise on the game's token design and tokenomics.
- Alameda will provide liquidity for tokens.
