1. Cboe Global Market wants to launch ethereum futures. The exchange plans to launch the product by the end of the year. It would base its product on Gemini's underlying market, the same market that Cboe based its bitcoin futures trading product on. Cboe is reportedly waiting on approval from the Commodities Futures Trading Commission before its official launch. –COIN TELEGRAPH

2. Bitcoin is poised to end August down about 10 percent for the month. While the coin's continued drop could be reason for concern, there is hope that the coin hit its lowest point for some time. Bitcoin's price rallied the last two weeks of the month, and technical charts "indicate there is a reason to be optimistic going forward." –COINDESK
