How to prepare for this weekend

The countdown is on!

Saturday 25 May: 9:00AM - 5:00PM
Sunday 26 May: 8:30AM - 6:30PM

Centrality, Ground floor, 5/48 Emily Place, Auckland

We're only 2 days away from CENNZ-ed developer learning weekend! Here's some handy information to help you get the most out of the day.

If you're developer and want to start building decentralised apps, we suggest installing Docker and Rustup prior to the weekend so you can spend more time building awesome DApps.

Install Docker Install Rustup

We've created a Slack channel where we'll be sharing all documentation and updates throughout the weekend. You can also connect with your teammates there. Be sure to join the CENNZ-ed Slack channel before the event - the sooner you join, the better you'll be prepared.

What you might be wondering
How is CENNZ-ed different to hackathon?

The CENNZ-ed is more focused on educating rather than hacking. This is a learning series full of workshops and hands-on training on blockchain technology and DApp building.

Will there be a challenge to tackle?

On Day 2 you have a complete freedom to work on your own idea of decentralised app.

How many people should be in my team?

You can work alone or get up to 8 people in the team. Remember, you can join a team on the day.

I'm not a developer, can I still come?

Yes, the program has been designed for both developers and entrepreneurs. If you can't code, join us on Day 1 for workshops and networking and leave Day 2 for devs.

What support and resources will be provided at the event?

We will offer workshops to take you through the tech that you will be using on the day. All necessary documentation will also be provided. We will have mentors walking around to answer your questions and help you. Most importantly, you'll be fed and watered throughout the day.

What's the prize?

We'll have 5 spot prizes, including $2000 worth of CENNZ tokens and 10 hours couching time with the team of your choice (Centrality, Plug, Sylo, Single Source of any of Accelerator teams).

What should I bring with me?

Bring your laptop, mouse, power cord, earphones, notepad if you need that and don't forget to put on your creative cap!
