- Although Hinchy promoted the software as legal, it required users to install it on other adults’ mobile devices, which breaks federal and New York state laws.
- Hinchy’s companies must modify the apps so that the owner of the device being monitored is notified.

European law enforcement has arrested hackers who were using the encrypted communication app Exclu to organize their illegal hacking campaigns. The hackers were based in the Netherlands and Belgium. More: - Law authorities arrested 45 individuals across the region.
- The police searched 79 locations, seizing $5.5M in cash, 300,000 ecstasy tablets, 20 firearms, and 200 phones.

A new report shows that the U.K.'s largest banks are vulnerable to severe cybersecurity breaches. Banks were ranked based on login, navigation and logout, account management, and encryption. More: - The report claims that even though the listed banks have enough resources, they are still prone to:
- No blocking for weak passwords,
- Sending one-time passcodes and other sensitive information via SMS,
- Not logging out customers out after five minutes of inactivity,
- Allowing access to accounts from multiple web browsers at the same time, and
- Sending customer notifications containing a web link or phone number, which look like phishing messages.
